Simmer power supplies

SMP-010

Features:

- Power supply of flash-lamp: DC , continuous mode

- Control of ignition transformer

- Possibility of  ON/OFF control of lamp

- Possibility of checking if the lamp irradiates

The simmer supply SMP - 010 is intended to supply pulsed xenon flashlamps with the arc dimensions 2-4 [mm] dia and 40 - 100 [mm] length. Its structure is based on a self-excited converter of 24 [V] low voltage. The device contains a system servicing the ignition transformer composed of a 1 [uF] capacitor charged to 600 [V] and of a discharging thyristor. In addition, the simmer is provided with a system enabling to detect ignition of the lamp. The information on the lamp ignition is very useful to control the laser in order that, in case the lamp is not ignited, the capacitors were not charged. The simmer supply is designed to supply all types of pulsed lamps with the above mentioned arc dimensions in solid-state lasers.

Technical parameters:

Power supply:                                                                             +24 [V]

Power consumption                                                               max 3 [A]

SMP-020

Features:

- Power supply of flash-lamp: DC , continuous mode

- Control of ignition transformer

- Possibility of  ON/OFF control of lamp

- Possibility of checking if the lamp irradiates

- Possibility to check the lamp fracture

The simmer supply type SMP - 020 is designed to supply Pulsed xenon lamps with than arc dimensions 2 - 7 [mm] dia and 40 - 120 [mm] in length. Its structure is based on a resonance converter of a full – bridge type with 24 [V] power supply. Owing to such a structure, the system is characterized by a relatively low electrical loss. The device contains a system servicing the ignition transformer composed of a 1 [uF] capacitor charged to 600 [V] and of a discharging thyristor. In addition the simmer is provided with a system enabling to detect lamp ignition. The information on lamp ignition is very useful to control the laser in order that, in case the lamp is not ignited, the capacitors were not charged. Available is also in the system the possibility to check if the lamp has not broken. This is made by means of the test of forcing the flow of current before the lamp is ignited. The simmer supply is intended to supply all types of pulsed lamps with the mentioned above arc dimensions in solid-state lasers.
